Works from 1963 to 1989

Impressed by the expressive power of Georges Braque's painting, Baldessarini's early works, like his early drawings, are marked by a characteristic line. Towards the end of the eighties, these gradually weaken in his painting as well, giving way to the two-dimensional, abstract style of his painting, which is permeated by a constantly striking structure. During this period, Baldessarini's oeuvre focuses primarily on his classical compositions, as well as on landscapes created in Italy and in his native South Tyrol.
