Mozart Cycle

The Mozart cycle combines two basic elements of the painter, his enormous enthusiasm for Mozart's music and his studies of stage design and costume design. This cycle of works was created between 2003 and 2005 and Baldessarini was inspired by Mozart's great operas, with a personal preference for Don Giovanni, Idomeneo, The Abduction from the Seraglio and The Marriage of Figaro. In these operas, the artistic work is also far more comprehensive than in the operas The Clemency of Titus, The Magic Flute or Thus Do They All.
